Termite Damage Litigation
A homeowner represented by Attorney Stephen D. Apolinsky was
awarded more than $160,000.00 for property damage and punitive
damages after negligent inspection and reporting of prior
infestations resulted in the proliferation of termites. This
is one of the largest verdicts of its kind in Rockdale County,
Georgia.
Termite property damage claims are brought against insurance
companies that insure the damaged property, and termite
control companies responsible for termite prevention and
control at the property sites. If the seller knows that
there is termite damage, but chooses to conceal the damage
or cheat the buyer, then the buyers are often entitled to
compensation even if the legal contract covers the seller
or real estate agent.
